October 3, 2009 -  Student Career Workshop - Location: University of Indianapolis UIndy Hall in the Schwitzer Student Center.  Time: 10:00 am to 1:30 pm (breakfast 9am and lunch 1 pm).   Learn from pros working the the TV industry.  Students, faculty and staff from all Indiana colleges and universities are invited to attend the Workshop at UIndy.  The Workshop will be the the 17th in a national tour, and presented by the Educational Foundation of NATPE, the National Association of Television Program Executives. The goal of the Workshop is to inform students of the many careers in the communications field, and to prepare and guide them through the process of working in the industry.  CAREER WORKSHOP INCLUDES:  A panel discussion with staff and management from local TV stations telling how they got started and what it's like to work in this exciting business. Special emphasis on the internships, resumes, interviewing, networking and career strategies.  A moot job interview.  Q&A session, Face-to-face interaction with the panelists.
